I'd been reading about the old symbolism of the moon and the serpent, and it stayed with me.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBoth are about renewal. The moon waxes and wanes, disappears and comes back — times of growing and times of retreat. The snake outgrows its skin, sheds it, and grows into a new one. That's how the world works, and we're the same. I was in the middle of it myself: leaving my corporate job, home educating full time, working out what I'd do next, and learning to take the mask off. There's power and beauty in that.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere isn't a single line on this page. It's only dots, building up until they look like something. I'd never really worked that way, so I tried it.
