The Imperfect Circle is my small open studio on a farm in Screveton, opposite Caffe Velo Verde and five minutes from Bingham. Anyone can walk in. There's a table, good materials, ink I make from the hedge, and company.
Opening this autumn. Thursday to Sunday.
Out from the circle, one line at a time. None of them straight.
Three ways in
A seat at the table
Pull up a stool beside me while I work. The inks, the paper and the pens are yours to use. Nothing has to be finished or shown.
Workshops
Four of us round one table. I bring what I've gathered from the hedge, we turn it into ink, then draw with it.
Just come and look
The door's open. An armchair, a Buddha Board, and the work from the table on the walls. No pressure to buy anything, ever.

Pod 3, The Eco Centre, Home Farm, Screveton, NG13 8JL. Directly opposite Caffe Velo Verde. Park on the farm, by the café. Open Thursday to Sunday.
Children are welcome, one with each adult, and a child's seat costs the same as any other. It's a quiet table, so it suits a child who's happy to sit and draw for a while. Around eight and up is usually about right, but you know your child.

Why I'm doing this
Louise Clark
For a long time I lived by expectations I thought I'd chosen. They were mine, but they came from values I'd inherited and never questioned. As I've got older and life has changed, I have questioned them, and the ones I live by now are different. The energy it takes to live against your own values isn't something I have any more, or something I'm willing to spend. I've always been me. Art is where I learned who that was, and where I learned to trust myself.
